When is it seasonal? Cooler seasons (spring, fall)
Varieties:
Nutrition: High in vitamin K, vitamin A, and fiber. Generally referred to as a “dark leafy green” and everyone can use more leafy greens in their diet!
Culinary Basics: A mild flavor! The stems are pretty crunchy, so you can chop them thinly and saute them or even pickle them! Use the leaves to wrap things like a burrito or saute swiss chard leaves with garlic and oil – can’t go wrong! The leaves are also great to add them to soups and stews.
You can use swiss chard in any of these recipes!
