Nutrition & Culinary Fundamentals

The Winter Edition

Do you struggle with…

Finding the time and motivation to cook nutritious meals?

Knowing what foods are in season and how to cook them?

Wanting to save money by cooking at home but feel overwhelmed by where to start?

Then our course may be just for you!

Live Cooking Classes

  • For four consecutive Mondays nights at 6pm MST, Fallon will teach a live, virtual cooking class. She will demonstrate how to cook 2-3 recipes.
  • If you join live, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and cook along with Fallon!
  • If you can’t join live, all classes will be recorded and uploaded immediately after each class.
  • All recipes are not too complicated and don’t require many ingredients — while still being delicious! Recipes will include substitutions to meet most dietary restrictions and preferences (like gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, etc).

*See the menu below to see what we will be cooking!

Learn Fundamentals

  • For every meal, you’ll be taught the fundamentals behind the recipes — the ratios, flavor combinations, and techniques. This will allow you not just follow a recipe, but learn HOW to cook.
  • You’ll be able to take what you learn, and make the recipe again, but using various seasonal ingredients, what you have on hand, or with your own twist.
  • Save money by learning how to be a more confident and resourceful cook (and eating out less!)
  • Each will recipe will also have nutrition highlights, so you’ll understand how the foods are fueling and strengthening your body

Connection & Community

  • The winter time is perfect time to slow down and look inward. Every week we’ll have journal prompts for you to fill out. This will help you discover your motivation and really tune into the season!
  • Join our in-person kickoff event, Sunday February 5th from 12-2pm. We’ll go for a hike in the Sandias with some warm beverages and food provided!
    • For those not local, we’ll send you little something special in the mail!

All of this for just $97!

Meet Your Culinary Instructor & Sprouting Kitchen Owner

Hi, I’m  Fallon Bader, a registered dietitian who loves using food as a medium to connect people. I teach cooking classes on local farms and virtually online. I’ve taught over 100 virtual cooking classes, and love the way it empowers people to feel confident in their home kitchens. I’m a graduate of Penn State, Cornell, and the University of New Mexico. I also lead a group of over 1200 dietitians who are dedicated to food security and sustainability.

I strongly believe that in order to mitigate climate change, we must support regenerative farmers, eat more plants, and cook at home more often (less plastic take-out boxes and forks, please!). I love working with teams who are excited to ignite positive change within their corporations and their individual actions. We’ve had numerous change-maker-farmers join our cooking classes, which participants said made them eager to support local and eat more nourishing foods.

True story: I’ve had a cooking class participant ask when I was going to have my own local cooking show – I guess you could say our cooking classes are fun, engaging, and inspire action!
