It’s that time of the year, the annual Balloon Fiesta!!! Rather than waking up at 4am to make it into Balloon Fiesta park, head on over to our morning cooking class at 7 am! We’ll start with yoga on the deck with balloons overhead (weather permitting, but we had good luck last year!). Then you’ll be led through creating a delicious fall-inspired breakfast.
Our recipes always focus on seasonal recipes and teaching foundational culinary techniques. We’ll send out the menu the week of the class, but we can guarantee it will be delicious and filling! You’ll learn culinary techniques and recipes you can replicate at home.
*We’ll have warm chai tea when you arrive at the homestead!
Our recipes can always be made vegan, gluten free, or can accommodate dietary preferences (as long as you let as know ahead of time).
Meg is an adventurous nature lover, yogi, mindful mama, retreat leader, postpartum doula, and women’s wellness advocate. She loves to share health and wellness through yoga, natural alternatives, essential oils, nature, and culinary education. Teaching and practicing yoga is a lifelong passion, and she considers herself a forever student.
The homestead is located on 1 acre in Corrales, and is transitioning manicured and non yielding lawn and pathways to a perennial food forest. Using what is sustainably available in the local environment for this ecosystem and taking advantage of natures patterns, their vision is to build a high yielding low maintenance property that is both beautiful and bountiful.
This class is for someone who wants a unique cooking experience. You’ll learn about local farms, sustainability, nutrition, and cooking techniques. Our recipes focus on teaching you how to utilize and cook with seasonal produce, but it doesn’t matter if you are a vegetarian, vegan, or carnivore – we all need to eat more plants!
Whether you’re a beginner or more seasoned cook, everyone can learn from our classes. We always have extra staff who can help with additional instruction if needed.
