Cilantro

Get to know cilantro!

When is it seasonal? Cooler seasons (spring, fall)

Nutrition: It is a good source of Vitamin C, but you do have to eat a fair amount of dill to get a decent amount of Vitamin C. I like to think of dill as a flavor agent to make other nutritious foods taste even better!

Culinary Basics: Cilantro is a classic herb used in many culture’s cooking like Mexican, Indian, and Central American. The stems are completely edible and usually soft enough that you can just chop up the whole bunch of cilantro – no need to pick the leaves off! Coriander are the seeds of the cilantro plant and are ground into a spice powder that adds an herby, earthy flavor.
